Jason Villanueva speaking at Gospel Community Church in Hastings, Nebraska on the topic of being a gifted community.
A gifted community is a community filled with the Holy Spirit.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Spiritual gifts are an indicator of the power of the Holy Spirit in you to be a witness, and we don’t just testify to unbelievers, but we build up believers in testimony as well.
Romans 8:11 – And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
You ARE the chosen vessel to carry Christ’s love and power and ADMINISTER it into the earth to those who need it!
3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. 4 For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. 9 Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
Gifts are not forced responses of the flesh, but natural responses of the Spirit through you.
The gift that comes out of you in a time where Jesus is needed, is Jesus coming out of you!
When the entire body is functioning in their gifts, as led by the Spirit, then JESUS if FULLY MANIFESTED in that place where a fullness of His love is needed.
DONT GET GIFT ENVY.
For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
